Review of Labor Day (2013) by Al S — 05 May 2014
An outstanding and truly engaging motion picture filled with heart, drama and gorgeous romance. It's the best romantic film I have seen in years. It is deeply moving, powerful, and gorgeously crafted.
Director, Jason Reitman has taken his game to a new and very impressive level in a more solid and dramatic territory. An unforgettable and utterly satisfying movie. A triumph that has you loving every beautiful and devastating moment.
The performances are beyond brilliant. Kate Winslet is absolutely magnificent, she gives another breathtaking and remarkable performance. Josh Brolin is truly amazing, you feel the warmth of his character for the mother and son and just shines with charisma and gives one of his best performances in this movie.
Gattlin Griffith is terrific, he is a fine and promising young talent. A beautiful and captivating classic.
