Review of La Vie en Rose (2007) by Chris S — 27 May 2010
This film would fall flat without Marion Cotillard's revolutionary performance. While the film has some incredibly beautiful moments, some startlingly depressing ones, and an overall enjoyable experience, there are some gaps in the Piaf legacy, and the disconnected sequence of the film may leave some viewers cold.
Overall, though, it's a pretty good movie made fantastic solely by Marion Cotillard, whose turn as Edith Piaf is nothing short of one of greatest performances this decade.
