Review of La Vie en Rose (2007) by Trent J — 01 May 2009
The performance is great - whatever. However, that's a weak trade-off for a story that falls into the same potholes as every other music biopic, poorly masked by its temporal mish-mash. The film starts and stops a dozen supporting characters' arcs - no doubt because the filmmakers were too dazzled by the character of Edith to care.
The film, while still decent overall, is worse for it.
