Review of La Vie en Rose (2007) by Abigail P — 08 Jun 2009
Let down by occasional sentimentality and silliness (seeing St. Theresa in the flames -what's that about?) but brilliantly acted by Marion Cotillard and very entertaining. The story was easy to follow despite my not knowing anything about her life and the people around her and it got across the spectacular ups and down of her life and the brilliance of her talent in such a way that I now count myself a Piaf fan! Recommended viewing.
