Review of La Vie en Rose (2007) by Sam A — 17 Aug 2012
While not a perfect film it certainly had plenty of near perfect aspects.Marion Cotillard was well deserving of her Oscar and the makeup work was spectacular (again well deserving of it's Oscar). The ricocheting back and forth throughout Edith Piaf's life, though confusing at times, was well done in my opinion as it made me think about the movie and kept my brain active so not to loose my attention.
In the end I was able to follow and understand (in a sense) Piaf's life and all in all a well made movie.
