Review of La Strada (1954) by Barry M — 06 Jul 2007
This Fellini movie was one of his first and it's one of his best before his spectacles. The Neo-Realism Italian Cinema movement at it's finest. The two main characters are so empathic it's amazing. Why the hell do I want to put my arm around Zampano at the end? Giulietta Masina (Gelsomina) wins me over at hello and Anthony Quinn (Zampano) wins me over at goodbye.
For anyone who would have done things so differently and not take their loved ones for granted. For anyone who learned this the hard way.
