Review of La Strada (1954) by Joanna R — 02 Jan 2008
Difficult not to like. This is a italian neorealist tripping Fellini, compassionate and visibly less self-centered compared to his later films. The characters are authentic and humane... what I acctually like most about this movie, is that it depicts sad stories from the lower classes of the italian society, without tending to be naturalistic or deterministic.
There is hope, and the hope is love.
