Review of La Strada (1954) by Jaime D — 08 Mar 2008
Fellin is considered by many to be amongst the greatest film makers of all time... Woody Allen, Scorsese, Coppolla... all mark Fellini as an influence.... for me a lot of him movies seem to be a case of the emperors new clothes.
. you feel not liking La Dolce Vita some how marks you as being an idiot or that not not being able to sit through all of 8 and half without having dark thought about celuliod and matches means that your a soulless pop corn muncher.
. but the truth is Fellini is someyime very much style above content... Not so with La Strada... on this film alone the mans reputation is earned... A film of utter genius.
