Review of L.A. Story (1991) by Dean B — 14 Jul 2007
Steve Martin's own material is always a treat, and this is no exception. Martin manages to get the gap between his wacky persona of the 80s and his forthcoming charming good guy act pretty much spot on, albeit it goes a little soppy at moments.
He takes immense pleasure in making fun of Los Angeles, but it's also pretty obvious that he means this lovingly.
