Steve Martin is at his wackiest here, sending up the *culture* of Los Angeles. It took me a long time to UNSCRAMBLE HOW DADDY IS DOING via the 'talking' traffic sign.
HOW DADDY IS DOING = Sing "Do Wah Diddy" anagram, cue the Manfred Mann hit to close the film.
