Review of L.A. Story (1991) by Alden F — 16 Jun 2007
My affection for this film is perhaps inexplicable. . .the chemistry between the leads vanished in real-life, as martin and tennant separated, but for some reason, I really enjoyed this extended homage to his adoptive hometown.
some hilarious cameos (patrick stewart as a sadistic maitre d': "he'll have the chicken. . .is this part of the new cruelty?") and barely believable premises (a sentient freeway sign) still add up to a lovable final product.
. .not for everyone, however.
