Review of La Orca (1976) by Rainer K — 23 Sep 2011
Guy Ritchie is certainly not (yet) one of my favourite directors but Snatch is actually a pretty good movie.
Somehow similar but not so violent like Tarantino and bolstered by thick British accents (which I highly admire). It also features Jason Statham in one of rare roles in not-trash films - we all know how nice he looks in suits - and he wears many of them...
But Statham is not the only star in this fantastic cast: Brad Pitt as an Irish gipsy boxer (one of his best roles ever!), Benicio Del Toro (whose work I'm starting to appreciate more and more - a great character actor),...
There are many different roles and characters all played by decent actors and some memorable lines ("Mary f*ckin Poppins"), it's funny (at least if you like British humour as black as it gets), it's stylish and they kill loads of people :D.
