Genuinely a love letter. "Whiplash" director Damien Chazelle continues his play of music with a flashy stylistic and energetic homage, and contemporary update of film techniques that impresses, to the classical age of Hollywood musicals in the 50s, especially the structure, the taste in performances and the rare illogic of expressionism. (A-).
