Review of La La Land (2016) by Ziv E — 11 Mar 2017
La La Land is a funny and heart-tugging musical with great characters and visuals.
However, I can't say it's the best feature of 2016 (That would go to Rouge One: A Star Wars Story.) or even the best musical of 2016(That would go to Moana.).
The story sounds pretty familiar on paper and some of the songs are rather weak(Especially the Pop song.
Man, is that gonna make this movie dated.).
But the film does make up for it with nice execution and other songs that are pretty good.
I would recommend this to film buffs for the CRAZY incident that happened at the Oscars and musical fans because they might get some nostalgia.
This movie will definitely appeal to more than just the fools who dream.
Story: 7|10.
Visuals: 10|10.
Characters: 10|10.
Songs:8|10.
Overall: 8.3|10.
