Review of La La Land (2016) by Ioannes P — 03 Aug 2017
Pretty, colourful and musical, 'La La Land' is still not so new, and remains a bit of a déjà-vu in its story and theme through other films of the genre. However, it is good one: a clever film about showbiz and love like Hollywood loves them, irresistibly interpreted by Stone and Gosling and passionately directed by Chazelle.
Briefly, 'La La Land' fulfills his ambition to travel back to the Golden Era of Hollywood Musicals more by recycling than recreating them. I find it a bit overrated though.
