Review of La Haine (1995) by Greg C — 05 Jun 2009

I'm not sure why so many reviewers descibe the style of this film as "documentary style." The scenes are wonderfully staged to enhance the acting and action. Yes there is real footage of the Paris riots included but they only add to the realism of the film.

I'm no expert in this contemporary part of French history, but the story is powerful. Fast paced movie that deserves ones full attention while viewing. Excellent film.
