Review of La Haine (1995) by Jason D — 19 Aug 2010
This is probably one of the best films that is being overlook by others. It is naturally winner against many other thrillers for its mindless violence with a purpose to shock the viewers but that was the main point.
The director of this film also directed numerous great thrillers like " The Crimson Rivers" , "Babylon A.D." ,"Gothika" and many more. He does it with a will of trying something new and hoping to push the envelope to the next level.
But this film is his only crown achievement that today it can withstand the feelings of shockness and rawness. The plot is superb and still remains as fresh as if being new but be warned! : it is not considered as being action film but rather as being independent foreign drama film for its self proclaim prize of having violent parts that will leave you breathless and possible requesting some beers with pill poppings to ease the headache from looking at it!
