Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Jake W — 13 May 2008
Classic Fellini. Alain Cuny, who plays Steiner, has one of the best monologues ever to grace the screen. This film also features one of the best endings in cinema, when Marcello is on the beach, in the pitfall of his misery, sees the little girl from the café at the other end of beach, waving back at him.
The possibility of redemption and a second chance to turn around his life makes this ending great.
