Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Brendan S — 24 Jul 2009
Interesting film that follows a gossip writer at a crossroads in his life as he goes from one unfulfilling night with the glamorous crowd to another, never knowing how to get out or if he really wants to.
If you like to think about the characters in the films you watch and their motivations and what things represent, this is a great film for you. If you want something more straight forward and exciting, you should watch something else.
The poorly dubbed English and fairly rough manner in which it was filmed will probably make it difficult for a lot of modern movie watchers to sit though.
