Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Leah L — 30 Dec 2009
I am giving this film four stars because visually it is outstanding. I'm not sure about everything else... I feel like I need to see it again, but I don't actually want to sit through it again. It was thematically interesting and as a series of shorts worked well, but it felt really long. It ultimately left me feeling sad and empty, and is sticking with me.
As a sidenote, I think Marcello Mastroianni may have been the coolest man who ever lived.
