Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Scott C — 04 Aug 2013
This may or may not be Fellini's best film, but, at least in many respects, it does sort of feel like his most definitive, bridging as it does the gap between his earlier and later periods and featuring many of the most memorable (aesthetic, dramatic, thematic) elements of both.
Disturbing, powerful, intoxicating, funny, and very, very sad.
