Review of La Bête Humaine (1938) by Martin T — 15 Feb 2009
"The Rules of the Game" is one of my favorite films of all time so it's really a wonder why I haven't seen more Jean Renoir films. This film is not as great as the aforementioned masterpiece but still contains some great direction and performances.
It's a noir-ish film about a love triangle and a murder on the railroads based on the novel by Emile Zola.
