La Bamba is Lou Diamonds best film. He gives a marvelous performance as Ritchie Valens, this is one of my favorite musical biopics. Joe Pantoliano is great as his manager and Elizabeth Pena also gives a strong supporting role.
The movie clearly shows who Valens was, what his philosophies were and what passions drove him to be successful, A-.
