Review of Kwaidan (1965) by Cavaille S — 02 Jan 2009
The most classic japanese horror film, in my opinion. both its verbal and visual artistry are unparalleled.
Also, it's not "scary" in the sense that it's like modern "scary" with gore and noise, but the stories leave so much to the imagination, and therefore it leaves in you a more personalized sense of dread, because you've identified it with your personal fears.
