Review of Kung Fu Hustle (2004) by Rotten T — 18 Jun 2011
Kung-Fu Hustle really flies because of its witty gags and amusing premise. The fight scenes turn out to be actually quite entertaining, with memorable characters and fighting techniques. The antics in this film really are Looney Toons-esque, with outrageous gags and jokes.
Some points, it's bizarre, but Kung Fu Hustle is just so addicting to watch. Director Stephen Chow is brilliant, fusing the grace of martial arts with the whimsical world of cartoons and slapstick to bring us one of the most oddball comedies ever.
