Review of Kundun (1997) by Kristina C — 05 Jul 2007
This is a movie you watch for the pure sensory experience. The interplay of intensely saturated colors in luxurious closeups of mandalas, clothing, human blood spreading in a goldfish pond, etc. is like music for your eyes.
And the music for your ears is provided by Philip Glass. A little bit of the "-qatsi" experience in a more palatable form.
