Review of Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) by Jamey D — 10 Sep 2016

I found Kubo to be a really good emotional stop-motion film. I was pleasantly surprised by how the characterization worked out, and the action scenes are top-notch.

The stop-motion animation is top-notch. I like the image.

Also, the Sister witches are some of the creepiest villains I've seen on screen in recent years. Those masks, Rooney Mara's voice, and their way of fighting, they are going to give me nightmares for a while.
