A childhood favorite film of mine and with all childhood films, they're never as good as you remember. Effects do resemble Star Wars, just not as good which makes them come off as cheesy in present day.
The all british cast was pretty good. The scenic shots were nice and well done, but you could clearly tell what was shot outdoors and what was shot on a set...definatly not as good as I remember it being, but it was still a pretty good film overall.
