A great example of the collision between spacefaring, energy weapon-using, magical worm-things in armored combat suits, and a pre-medieval, magic using, feudal society. A love story is the main plot, a marriage that would unite 2 kingdoms is disrupted by minions of the giant, sorcery-capable alien boss.
The groom sets out to save her, picking up a D&D-like group of eclectics along the way to assist in her reclamation. Absolutely wonderful soundtrack!
