Review of Krrish (2006) by Bhawya S — 07 May 2008
Love it. I actually pulled it out of a drawer as a last resort for lack of new Bollywood movies to watch, expecting it to be very overdone and gory (as Karan Arjun and Koyla were by Rakesh) judging by the summary on the back.
What I got was a VERY pleasant surprise! What a fantastic movie! Rekha is lovely, as ever. Priyanka's character 'Priya' somewhat bothered me, but Hrithik Roshan completely shines out so much that he prevents me from giving this review anything less than 5/5 stars.
His dual role as Rohit and Krishna (AND Krrish, if you think of it) is absolutely amazing. Lovely songs, also. This movie is the kind that has you 'talking to your tv screen', if you know what I mean.
("Nooo!" "YAY! GO KRRISH! Beat 'em up!" "GAH, how could you do that to him-- he looks so sad!" Etc...).
