Review of Krepkiy Oreshek (1968) by Matt M — 30 Jan 2013
Bruce Willis stars as the hero, the only man who can save people in the headquarters of a Japanese company who are taken hostages by a group of terrorists. On paper, it looks like a simple idea, but it's thrilling and exciting in its simplicity, and has a formula that includes all you need for an entertaining action film, including a great hero with a scruffy macho attitude portrayed by Bruce Willis at his most iconic, believable bad guys headed by a twisted Alan Rickman whose personality is incredibly intelligent and unique, and enough suspense and excitement to keep you on the edge of your seat for the whole duration.
Action films don't come much better than this.
