The perfect action film, with relentless tension, fine pacing and fantastic action scenes, a great (human) hero, and an even greater villain. But it is also the perfect holiday film, with redemption, family problems, Christmas spirit, wry sense of humor, and wonderful characters.
The guns and explosions and swears every minute simply add more Yuletide flavor. I watch "Die Hard" every Christmas Eve.
