Review of Krepkiy Oreshek (1968) by David B — 03 Sep 2016
Fantastic action and great stunts make this one of the best actioners for its time. Alan Rickman steals the show as a German bomber and Bruce Willis is perfect as the cop in the wrong place, at the wrong time.
thrill a minute. McTiernan, who directed Predator, composes the action cleanly and logically, making good use of Jackson DeGovia's elaborate post-modernist set-the building becomes something of a character in itself.
This is the action thriller that minted Bruce Willis's career, launched a franchise and still stands as a giant of the genre.
