Review of Krampus (2015) by Lou A — 18 Jun 2016
A fun blend of horror and comedy, that will surely become a yearly holiday favorite for many morbid movie-goers. The cast is competent and the directing is stylish and ambitious, with a perfect sense of eeriness and dread, yet lots of comic relief around every corner.
It doesn't only bring the urban legend to life nicely, but also works as an allegory for how commercialized and unsentimental Christmas has become. Consider it a modern-day 'Gremlins.'.
