Review of Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) by Bryan I — 11 Jan 2009
Along with Places in the Heart, this is probably the best movie Robert Benton ever directed. Dustin's at the top of his game. I saw in the DVD documentary that he did quite a bit of improving, but that kid Justin Henry's with him every step of the way.
Yes, I sort of teared up in the end. Meryl's adorable too. I wish she'd been in it more. No good guys or bad guys in this story. Just complicated people dealing with that whole mess called life.
