Review of Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) by Ryan H — 21 Jan 2011
I expected much more interaction between Hoffman and Streep. The famous restaurant scene was brilliantly done. This picture is written really well all the way until the end when I feel like there is no real wrap.
They just threw things together and said "yup, so that's it!" I loved seeing Ted become closer to Billy as soon as Joanna leaves. Perhaps the making of French toast again in the end but more organized was a little too obvious, but it was still a decent scene.
Ted trying to tell his son that his mom is going to take care of him just as well is such a tough thing to watch. Not a masterpiece, but Kramer Vs Kramer holds up to the time.
