Review of Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) by David S — 27 Mar 2012
Kramer vs. Kramer is an extremely genuine and simple movie about two adults who have to find and deal with their relationship and the best alternative for their son. Delving into the change of Hoffman's character and the beautiful father-son relationship he builds with Billy Kramer (Justin Henry), this movie strays away from unnecessary sappiness, and provides real life family issues.
Keeping it short and succinct, anyone can relate and/or have an opinion to the goings on throughout the film, making it a clear example of "less is more". Consequently, this movie has rightfully won awards and great recognition.
Streep and Hoffman make for a perfect pair as they are both Hollywood giants in the acting arena.
