Review of Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) by Bradley H — 29 Jun 2014
While certainly not as provocative to today's audiences, this drama challenged the notion that child custody should virtually automatically be granted to the mother. The story is so well crafted that the central question arises naturally out of the action and never feels forced.
The film evokes real sympathy for the main characters (especially the child), and rewards that sympathy with numerous touching moments. Also, (as if there is much doubt given the cast) the acting is superb throughout.
