Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Ted W — 19 Mar 2017

Pretty good movie without universal controlling it but Warner brothers does a good job with their monster cinematic universe and while universal is bringing back all the old monsters and rebooting them too also make their own cinematic universe but so far Warner brothers is winning. But a movie starring Tom hiddiston or something with the ton at the end, brie Larson the girl from room , Sam l Jackson, and John c Riley in the cinematic universe of the great monsters of king Kong and Godzilla and trying to make a civil war between them or maybe a team up, who knows. But first let's talk about that awesome end credit scene with Godzilla and that the same crew members in this movie are going to be in the new Godzilla movie and maybe meet the guy from the 2014 Godzilla movie, the dad of course because of the setting of this movie takes place in the 70s. Tom what's his ton in my opinion was the worst part of this entire movie, everybody else was entertaining, Tom ton was just the stereotypical tough guy and didn't bring anything to the table except for being the guy who plays Loki in the marvel movies. The guy with the beard was hilarious, that's all I have to say and his gimmick with the sword with honor is just awesometacluar. Now the good stuff, king Kong himself but first before we get to that is the scenery and it's beautiful and it feels so realistic, that's the same feeling I felt watching avatar in Imax 3D and I haven't felt that in a long time. So whatever Oscar category that the scenery goes into deserves the Oscar. Maybe a nomination for best cgi because the monsters and king Kong in this movie look so real. Now the thing everybody has been waiting for, king Kong. He was good, he looked realistic and he's not just a monster that is immortal, he can take a punch , well nukes from the humans and he bleeds. I like that the movie didn't show king Kong as a true God but just a God and thats good. And how he and the skull crawlers interact and the story between them is cool. Yes this movie has a lot of well known actors / actresses but I think that this movie just choose wrong to be the key player. What I'm trying to say is the less main characters stole the show in the actors category. King Kong was the duh big main character of the entire movie but to be clear in the actors category, Tom ton sucked and brie Larson was way way better in room. Can't wait for the king Kong and Godzilla movie.
