A variation on an old theme. How many ways can we do King Kong? The retro-70s perspective against the backdrop of the Vietnam War is interesting. But, we arrive at the same conclusion -- the beast (Kong) is more humane than the warmongering, bloodthirsty human (Samuel Jackson).
