Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by James%20 K — 03 Apr 2017
Kong is basically a B-movie on a Hollywood budget in the best ways possible. The cast is both star studded and diverse, the style of the film is deliciously campy without going overboard, and the writing is superb!
The best part of the film is it always keeps you guessing. There's nothing sacred, nothing off limits to what you may or may not see and just when you think you can predict something it pulls a u-turn and does something else.
It's also has a rollercoaster of tone! From epic adventure to gore-filled horror to even heartwarming sentiment, this movie has it all!
Give this film your money people. They don't make movies like this often enough anymore.
