Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Isadore H — 18 Sep 2017
How do you do a King Kong movie right? Is it man vs nature? Is it a love story between Kong and a pretty girl? Or can't we just be satisfied with good visuals and well-paced action? Whatever the formula is, it should be something that you haven't seen before, and with this movie, we've seen pretty much everything already.
The only interesting players were John C. Reilly and John Goodman, and in a movie with Samuel L. Jackson, that says quite a bit at how underwhelming Jackson's character was.
