Kong: Skull Island is a pretty good King Kong movie. What I like most of it is that it's a more original King Kong movie rather than just another remake. The thing with this movie though is that it doesn't really have any rewatch value.
It is a very enjoyable B rated movie with lots of action, a bit of story thrown in there, and making fun of stereotypical monster movies. I would suggest watching this in a movie theater because that's when it can be most fun, or rent it so you can take it back after you're done watching it but I do not believe this is the type of movie you would want to own on DVD/Blue-ray.
