Two words HORSE SHIT !!!
Obviously critics are paid to write good reviews. No redeeming qualities at all. Horrible story, you see Kong in first scene, and they attack him for no reason. No suspense. 1990 SciFi channel quality CGI. Ridiculous reactions and responses to situations. And it should have just been named "Big Gorilla" or something because it has nothing to do with King Kong.
Watch the original King Kong from 1933 or the remake from 1976. All other versions or remakes including Peter Jackson's 2005 are garbage,.
