Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Kav S — 16 Apr 2017
Slick effects and set pieces make this one a fun watch. Kong himself does not disappoint, however the rest of this romp seems to fall a little flat. Sam Jackson chews up the scenery as unecessarily angry bad guy out to get the ape when there are clearly bigger problems to deal with.
Serves as a passable intro for Kong into the "Monsterverse.".
