Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Jennifer F — 22 Jul 2017

I fell asleep, but, my husband stayed up late finishing this movie. I told my husband which characters would survive and what would happen and he basically confirmed that it ended just like that.

So, yeah, it's really predictable. The villains are obvious, the good guys are obvious. Everyone fits into their little predetermined boxes. HOWEVER, I will say that this is a very pretty action movie. If you enjoy watching beautiful movies, than you probably won't want to miss this one. The camera work and special effects are gorgeous. I would probably even watch it again despite it's predictability simply to enjoy the world building that went into this. It's a movie that finally gives Kong the nobility he deserves.
