Review of Kon-Tiki (2012) by Ray S — 22 Nov 2013
During 40's Norwegian adventurer and explorer Thor Heyerdahl embarked on a mission to prove that Incas followed Sun, traveled thousands of miles across Pacific ocean using wooden rafts and settled in Polynesian Islands 1500 yrs ago.
After it's documentary debut, Kon-Tiki evolved to main stream cinema, thanks to Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg and it never fails to inflict and induce Thor and his team's humiliation, suffering, awe, fear and victory upon it's audience.
There's no harm in going a step further and declaring that it's better than Ang Lee's Life of Pi.
