Review of Knockaround Guys (2001) by Jessica H — 22 Sep 2011
"We find the money like this....We find the toughest guy here, I mean the worst guy they got. The guy all the other guys cross the street to avoid, and we glaze this tough guy. Give him the beating of his life, way past the worst he's ever given.".
Knockaround Guys is the ultimate tough guy flick, a balls out explosion of pure awesome. Tough as nails, slick and stylish, inventive and quite original, gritty and hardcore. Its Boondock Saints meets Goodfellas. Packed with big names, it includes a unique blend of A-listers including big names such as Dennis Hopper, John Malkovich, Barry Pepper, Vin Diesel, and Seth Green of all people! Crammed with explosive firepower and nonstop action as well as some clever wit and humor, Knockaround Guys is an easily enjoyable piece of dynamite filmmaking from Directors Brian Koppelmann and David Levien. Scene after scene, Knockaround Guys delivers with the power of left hook, it will knock you around your seat in a haze of complete entertainment. It seriously kicks all kinds of ass, a blazingly stunningly intensely violent caper that entertains with style.
