Review of Knives Out (2019) by Greenisgood — 30 Jun 2020
TL;DR - Looper is on my top 10 list of personal favourite Sci-Fi flims, even though The Last Jedi wavered my trust in Rian as a good director, but I hold no doubt in my mind after this. Knives Out is a refreshing look into the oldest and best "Whodunit" Genre.
The film is very amusing with quirky story beats, it pulls a quirkiness and style in it's Story flow without compromising on the mystery.
Zod from Man of Steel vs Captain America vs James Bond was a bout of wits and words I never knew I wanted to see and yet the performances from Craig, Evans and Shannon are the best from the bunch. I love that Jamie Lee is still going strong with her performance a standout in itself. The supporting Cast was good enough even if they were just a back drop to the whole story.
Good fun watch.
