The Last Jedi is made by the same writer/director? Something is afoot.
Rian's signature style is at full force. A simple, classic premise that is layered with quirky intrique. You're bombarded with curious red herring in between actual clues. While I agree that there are much better crime mysteries. Rian Johnson is really carving out his own style/sub-genre similar to what Tarantino did for himself.
